Bellingham Maternity and Newborn Photographer

Professional, Story-Driven Photography for Pregnancy and Early Motherhood from Bellingham to the Skagit Valley

This season moves quickly, often before you realize how much is changing. Pregnancy and early motherhood are full of small, quiet moments that don’t always feel significant at the time—but become the ones you return to years later. My approach focuses on documenting this chapter honestly and intentionally, creating images that feel familiar now and meaningful long after it’s passed.

Meet the Photographer Behind the Work

I’m Kristina, a Bellingham maternity and newborn photographer drawn to the quieter side of early motherhood—the moments that feel tender, imperfect, and deeply real. Whether you’re waiting for your baby or settling into those early days, you don’t need to show up any particular way. You just need to show up as you.

My sessions are relaxed and connection-focused, built around helping you feel safe, seen, and celebrated. I’m here to document this season with care, so when you look back, you remember not just what it looked like, but how it felt to be in it.

A Story-Driven Approach to Maternity and Newborn Photography in the PNW

Every season looks a little different, especially at the beginning. Maternity sessions are typically scheduled around 32–34 weeks, when your belly is showing, and life still feels steady. Or as steady as it can growing a human.. In Home newborn sessions often take place within the first couple of weeks after birth, though there’s no single right timeline — the best time is when you feel ready. Scroll through the images below to see how these early moments are documented in a way that feels natural now and meaningful later.

A Calm, Story-Driven Session

Maternity and newborn sessions are calm and story-driven, with gentle guidance throughout so nothing feels forced or overly posed. This approach works best for those who value presence and connection over highly styled or performance-driven sessions.

Whether at home in Bellingham or in quieter spaces throughout the Skagit Valley, locations are chosen to feel grounded and unforced. The setting should support the story, not distract from it, keeping the focus on presence and connection.
